Tonight I'll be appearing with my fab studiomate jabberworks, otherwise known as Sarah McIntyre and author Karen McLeod as part of a For Books' Sake forum at the fledgling Lewisham Literary Festival.
The show starts at 7PM and getting there couldn't be easier (as South London goes at least): go to London Bridge, get a Nat'l Rail train to Hither Green (most seem to leave from Platform 1), and Bob's your uncle. The location is the lovely Victorian church hall at St. Swithun's, postcode SE13 6QE. Here's a link with all of the info, but as Sarah's a late addition she's not listed - rest assured, she will be there!
I haven't been in Lewisham since the riots and I'm keen to take part in a festival that aims to prove that South London, and in particular a deprived neighbourhood like Lewisham, can be a hospitable home for the arts. And I'm looking forward to meeting the locals!
Hope to see you there...
