|Sneak Peek: BITCH Magazine

Hey folks - I have a strip on the back of BITCH Magazine's current issue! Sneak peek above!
If you don't know BITCH, I hope you'll give 'em a try with this issue. They're a great, and very fun, feminist magazine. Plus they publish a comic on the back of every issue - what's not to love?
Some backstory on this - early last year I did a bunch of writing for Paul Gravett's ace 1001 Comics To Read Before You Die collection. One of the must-read comics I wrote about is Trina Robbins' The Brinkley Girls(Fantagraphics)- and I got seriously intrigued by Ms. Brinkley. A fantastic artist and successful cartoonist, she was one of the bona-fide stars of early 20th century cartooning.
In the course of my research for my article, I read about Nell's meeting with the notorious Evelyn Nesbit. This meeting became the crux of my strip - enjoy!
One more quick thing - The Graphic Canon Volume 1 is out now from Seven Stories Press! I worked on a comics version of Abelard and Heloise for this volume, plus there's work by Andrice Arp, Edie Fake, Isabel Greenberg, Peter Kuper, Valerie Schrag and many more! More on this to come...I'll post some images soon!
In the meantime, check out some of my
, behind the cut!
